Scenes from around the neighborhood on my walk yesterday. I think there’s a good chance that we will have a white Christmas.  These make our neighborhood look pretty rural. But there is a big green space a few blocks away where all the big towers carrying the power lines cut across the neighborhood.  And our local park has a marshy spot.  The rest is typical suburban 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s houses. You can see the change in house style every few blocks as another development was built.  It all looks so much more charming in the snow!

Snow *does* make everything look better, I agree. We have been having some construction (they are adding pressurized irrigation) in our town, and yesterday they were working right outside of my house. The ground was all torn up, and then as they progressed it was put back in order, but still looked pretty bad. Then it started snowing. The snow covered up all of their mess and it looked beautiful! I *am* worried about mud come springtime, but for now it is all taken care of.
