Resurrecting the Random Sampler
February 26, 2015 § 9 Comments
This was the last known whereabouts of my Random Sampler quilt. I know that there are a few others out there in the world that have quilts in a similar state to mine. So, let’s resurrect this thing and get ‘er done! No more guilty feelings about letting these blocks languish away, hidden in a closet somewhere. Let’s declare March the month for making those extra blocks and assembling them into a quilt top. Are you with me? Cue the hired cheering section.
I am! I’m not sure I like the way my quilt will look compared to some of the others, including yours, but I would really like to complete this project!
This is so ironic! Yesterday I texted my sister a picture of my random sampler blocks and said look what I found! And we started planning the next blocks we were going to work on. So I got on here to see if we missed any of the blocks you posted and here you are getting back to it too. So fun!!
Hooray for Anita (and the crowd roars)….this will be fun! You know I just pulled my blocks too, and it really got me interested in finishing this quilt. I also belong to a UFO finishing group, so this will be my March finish.
Note to Letty: Your blocks are fab, and I’m sure you’ll be reminded of how beautiful they are when you get them out again 🙂
you inspire me……i have a medallion small quilt from gwen mars tons class on lopez that i intend to finish soon! come up this way to shop
the thrift stores…..we have lots.
Know the feeling.
Ha! I felt my response required a blog post: http://shadowsoftheblueridge.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-gauntlet-has-been-thrown-down.html
We’ll see how the month plays out :o)
I’ll watch from the comfort of the cheering section, since I don’t quilt (much).
Now, as for being HIRED, well no need for payment, just get’er done.
I finally finished my random sampler up in November! It just kept nagging at me and so I had to give it some attention.:)
Looking lovely! You can do it!
