We rode our bikes on Saturday instead of Monday. 39.8 miles according to Gary’s bike computer. And we decided to drive down to the trail and park rather than ride from our house. It was still about the same distance, but it saved us from riding up the big hill back to our house. And we were VERY grateful that we had made that decision! This is one section of the trail that we love because it is so beautiful. It’s not all like this.
Thank you SO much for letting me peek into your July 4th celebrations! There were cookouts concerts & movies, church, sewing & knitting, relaxing, kids & grandkids, melty ice cream, mattress shopping, mini donuts, parks, yoga, aquariums, weddings, packing & moving, graduations, beaches, birthdays & anniversaries, shopping, gardening, hiking & kayaking, blue berry picking, camping, watermelon, cupcakes, potato & macaroni salads, parades, a few worked, and of course, fireworks & family. You all are busy!
The 4th here was cold and rainy, as is tradition. We threw some steaks on the grill anyway and watched Jaws with our bestest friends. The sun has finally come out but it is still cold ~ 49 degrees F. this morning. But I hear that it is supposed to warm up by the end of the week.
Oh yeah…winners? Is that what you are looking for? Heehee…
