Never a Dull Weekend

At least this weekend wasn’t dull.
It was Seafair Weekend here in the Seattle area. There was plenty to do to keep every type of kiddo busy, young & old. We took an Argosy Cruise with some friends and saw the Blue Angels perform. Wow! How do they do that? I’ve never seen an airshow before. It was amazing. And amazingly hot. We are still hitting highs of 89/90° F.
And then there was the Urban Craft Uprising bazaar going on as well. Another event that I’ve never witnessed first-hand until my best friend enticed me to go. I couldn’t leave without a bicycle t-shirt from Vital Industries and some Japanese import fat quarters from ?where? No one gave a receipt and I can’t remember the name of the vendor. Sunday Stash acquired on a Sunday, no less.
Next weekend… “the greatest sock show on earth”, the Sock Summit. It won’t be a dull weekend either.
Was is Maluhia that you got the fat quarters from? I bought some SUPER cute fat quarters as well and I think that was the shop I got them from. She also has a shop on etsy under Maluhia Designs. I got a print with little dear all over it. I have no idea what I’ll use it for but I had to have it!
The Blue Angels ROCK!!! We are near NAS Jax the birthplace of the Angels, and they have an old plane at the main gate. (Can even see NASA launches on clear days!)
It sounds like a wonderful time! Have fun at the Sock Summit!
Fun stuff! I love your bike t-shirt!
What a super summer weekend.
Enjoy Sock Summit ~ can’t wait to hear all about it!
It looks like a great time!
Sock Summit! Wow! You’re going to have to tell us all about it!
Ah Seafair – I’ve been going since I was about 7 – a very long time ago – LOL! We didn’t go this year, but it’s always fun to watch the races on tv! How fun that you got to be in the midst of it all in a boat!
I love your new stash, Anita – I suspect you’ll do something really fun with it!
Cheers!
That is an amazing shot of the Blue Angels! We go out on the SF bay in our boat every year we can to watch them. That picture gave me goose bumps, there’s nothing like seeing and feeling them that close!
By the way, your beautiful lilac header, I can actually smell.
