A Patchwork Garden

I thought you might like to see some photos of the Patchwork Garden at the Northwest Flower & Garden Show. It was a collaboration between Olympic Nursery and Gathering Fabric, my local quilt shop. It turned out fabulous and won second place in the garden design competition.
The garden display was circular and featured five different patchwork gardens – Spring, Summer, Winter, Fall and Whimsical. My Leafy Rosy quilt hung in the Summer Garden. Some of the other quilt artists were Lynn Majidimehr, who is a prolific art quilter, Roxanne Carter, who is also a prolific quilter & teacher in this area, and Jan Thompson, Susan Gross, Julie Forrest, Laurie Gustafson, Chris Wright, Klota Underwood, Bobby Hyland, and Linda French… all of which are fabulous quilters.
beautiful!
So pretty! I LOVE the 9 patch in The Summer Garden. Do you have another picture of it? I’ve gone a bit 9 patch crazy lately. LOL
Oh Anita, what BEAUTIFUL pictures!!! Thank you so much for sharing! I also love the photo at the top of your blog. I’d love to visit that Pacific NW!
They’re all so beautiful.. and what an awesome idea for a quilt show. Love it!
What a neat idea to combine a quilt show with a garden show. Each quilt is so lovely, especially in their settings!
Thanks for sharing the gorgeous pictures, Anita! I wish I could go this year! What a fabulous idea to feature quilts in a garden and how proud you must be to have one of yours displayed! Fantastic!
Cheers!
Those are beautiful quilts!
Such beautiful quilts in such pretty settings! Your Leafy Rosy is so rich …a feast for the eyes.
What a great way to show off quilts – nestled in a garden. Something so right about that idea, isn’t there? Your 9 Patch Quilt almost looks organic in the Summer Garden.
What a great idea to combine quilts with the garden displays. They look wonderful hanging there surrounded by the natural beauty. How exciting that you got to have a quilt displayed. Congratulations!
I love this! The photos are wonderful. That 9 patch would be a great project to add to my queue. Oh my, your wonderful blog is going to stretch that queue of mine…
