Thanksgiving has come and gone. Turkey and pumpkin pie leftovers were enjoyed. A little yarn shopping was done. And it started snowing on Thanksgiving at my in-laws. Then it snowed a little bit more on Black Friday. My sister-in-law dressed all in black for Black Friday. It was making me laugh. This was the park across the street Saturday morning as we were heading home. I suspect that it has all melted by now. But it was a nice treat to see some fluffy flakes while we were there.
Twenty four more days until Christmas. I’m pretty much done shopping for gifts that need to be shipped. Every year I dread a little more the thought of shopping during the month of December. So, this year I’ve decided that any gifts that haven’t been purchased by December 1 will either be hand made or shopped for on the Internet. But, mostly likely hand made will win in the end.
More and more I just want December to be a peaceful reminder of the season rather than a mad dash shopping for the perfect gift.
I agree! And I love that pic; it is beautiful!
Anita – I SO agree with you about Christmas! These past few years I have wanted to turn off the tv, not read the news and retreat to somewhere quiet where the true meaning of the holidays comes back to light! Cheers!
