A Patchwork Garden

Here’s it is… top finished and needing to be quilted. I should have taken more pictures, but the weekend has been busy and this is all I got a little earlier in the week. It’s already Sunday afternoon and I just feel like laying around and soaking up the day, getting up only to stretch and reposition for another length of resting, just like the cats do. Maybe when it is quilted and completely finished I’ll be able to get some more close-up shots of the quilt.
I’m so happy with how it came out! It was supposed to reflect a “dead of summer” kind of feeling. But to me, it’s more late summer and even early fall in its mood. More orange seemed to creep in even though I made a point to look for predominantly green fabrics.
I’m also declaring November “Tutorial Month”. On the Back-of-my-Head List there’s the Trick or Treat Bag, the Composition Notebook Cover, the Knitting Notions Pouch, and the Free Motion Quilting that I did on the Little Acorns quilt. Did I miss anything else that someone might have requested? I’ve also had requests at work for help on the Bag Handles that I did for the Clothworks Bags. We’ll see what I can do to make all of those into some sort of a tutorial during the month of November. Stay tuned…

Beautiful quilt, it just makes me want to curl up with a good book under a tree and enjoy the finally days of summer. I really enjoy your use of color – way to go! Have a great week and I look forward to the tutorials. Cheers.
I love it! I agree it does read late summer. Can’t wait to see it quilted!
It’s warm and beautiful! I have to agree about the late summery feeling…zinnias and leaves that are turning crispy on the edges.
Oh, it’s a real delight! I’ll look forward to your DQS5 entry, as I’m just starting to think about mine.
Way too cute!! I love the color combination. Perfect fall colors.
Wow, that is a great quilt…are they all floral fabrics?
