List of Randomness
July 24, 2008 § 5 Comments
I’ve been trying to write this post 3 times now. And every time it ends up sounding really lame. There is just no way to segue into the random bits of life at the moment. How about a list?
Only 1 sock finished of each pair, I’m afraid. Our other feet were a bit chilly.
1. Yesterday was our 15th wedding anniversary. You know you are an old married couple when you celebrate with Take-out Teriyaki and The Karate Kid II. But it was still nice.
2. Someone recently found my blog through the search words “beautiful socked feet of anita”. I don’t think they were looking for me. But it made me laugh all the same. May we all have beautiful socked feet.
3. Some awesome retro Anna Griffin Christmas fabric arrived yesterday. I madly stitched it up today into a quick lap quilt for a shop display. Here are the basics:
Cut 25 – 10″x 10″ blocks. Sew together in 5 rows of 5 squares each. Cut 4 – 4″ horizontal sashing strips to place between the block rows. Cut a 2″ inner border and a 4″ outer border. Viola. Easy Peasy.
4. Lily of Block a Day gave me an award. I’m not sure whether it was the Arte Y Pico award or the Brillante Weblog Premio. Either way, it was so very nice of her! Thank you Lily! I love the stories you tell as you are working on a quilt. What’s been happening with Monkton, the Castle Gardener lately?
What’s supposed to happen now is that I’m to send on the award to 7 really nice people who inspire me. All of you who read my crazy blog are really nice people. So… I’m sending it on to ALL of you! You all inspire me… And I do so appreciate your comments and email conversations. Thank you.
