How Was Your Weekend?
April 21, 2008 § 2 Comments
This was mine in a nutshell…
For about 5 minutes on Sunday it snowed these giant snowflakes. Then, they all melted.
We made some Australian Damper on Saturday for our “Supper Club”. Every other month a group of friends get together and make a themed meal. April’s theme was Aussie. June’s theme is going to be fondue.
This is my favorite block so far in the Civil War Love Letter Quilt club at my LQS. I’ve fallen in love with the Flying Geese block all over again. Kathy over at Pink Chalk Studio has a great tutorial on how to use The Angler 2 to make these. It’s how I made this block, all the snowballs on this quilt (which is nearly finished. only 6 more rows!) and is great for half-square triangles as well.
And… don’t forget to enter the drawing for a composition notebook cover! 100 posts and counting. The deadline is Friday, April 25th.
Crazy weather, it is 80 here today, unseasonably warm for April but there is supposed to be a cold front coming through this weekend.
The Australian Damper looks quite yummy.
I love your quilt block.
Yes the weather was wierd (I’m in Kitsap), but a great excuse to finish some projects…
