I’m afraid Baking Day is going to become Baking Week.
All that was accomplished yesterday was 8 loaves of Cinnamon Swirl Bread.
UPDATE: You can find my basic recipe over on Rhubarb Patch (my old blog). I have made some changes since that was posted. I let the dough rise for about an hour, then turn it and let rise a second time for about another hour. Then shape into 2 loaves. For the Cinnamon Swirl, roll the dough out like cinnamon rolls, brush melted butter over the dough and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. I’ve been baking the bread for a little less time (about 35 minutes) and the crumb seems to be a little more moist and less flaky.
Gingerbread Cookies, Thumbprint Cookies, Rum Balls and Biscotti are also on the list. Half of which are sitting in the fridge waiting to be baked.
The hazards of mass baking is that not every loaf is beautiful. Warning labels were made.
The Yo Yo Garland had to be removed from the tree. It was too much for The Cats to leave alone. One Yo Yo has already come undone! Relocation services are being conducted.
