Half-square Christmas trees
December 18, 2012 § 11 Comments
While I was digging through my scrap bins I found quite a few green half-square triangles. These Christmas cards seemed like a good way to use them up. And now I don’t feel like such a scrooge with our house all torn up over the holidays.
Details:
half-square triangles cut down to 2″
zig-zag stitched to white card stock (approx. 3 3/4″ x 5″)
gold star confetti glued to the top
whole thing glued to a half sheet of red card stock folded in half

Super sweet and a good use of scraps
Cute….
So cute – are you sending them out?
good lord, I just threw a bunch away this afternoon. Time to rummage through the trash.
I love this idea, Anita, thanks! I had an idea to use printed paper, punch out a triangle and then let the paper show through. But that would involve buying a punch. This is so much better b/c I can use my scraps and the card stock I have on hand. Did you fuse the triangles to the card stock before you zigzagged?
I’ll have to save this for next year, since I actually managed to get my cards out today, with help from my hubby. Woohoo…I’m crossing things off my to-do list
I love it, I am copying you…..
this came at the perfect time! i made some up tonite and am shipping them out tomorrow!
