Autumn Sunset for Christmas
December 10, 2012 § 11 Comments
I think I finished sewing the binding on this one over a week ago. But between the weather, our remodeling construction, and me catching a cold it took awhile to gather a couple of photos. I’m still feeling very lethargic & without motivation from the cold. The construction is coming along. Still not a lot to show for it. But the electrical should be done sometime this week and then they can put drywall back up on all the walls. Then it will definitely start to feel like something.
This quilt is going to be given to a friend of mine whose home is decorated with a lot of taupe & brown. They have a chocolate brown sofa & a taupe futon. I hope they like it!
Quilt stats:
Pattern – Autumn Sunset by The Vintage Spool
Fabrics – from my stash
Quilted – by my friend Richla
Finished size – approximately 72″ square (I made the outer border a little bigger than the pattern instructions)

Anita, these are such beautiful, warm colors. I like the pattern too, not overdone, just a simple, pretty design. I’m sure your friend will love it.
I hope you feel better soon
Congratulations on your finish! I love the larger borders – can’t picture it looking right if they were smaller.
