Snowballs in May

… well, almost June. This quilt top is finally finished! And it feels good to be finished.
Started last fall… intended as a Christmas gift for my husband… constantly pushed to the bottom of the To-Do List… finally ready to be quilted. It is my interpretation of Brandon Mably’s Rustic Snowballs Quilt from the book Kaffe Fassett’s Kaleidoscope of Quilts. I wanted to work in coffee themed fabrics because my husband is a coffee geek. Well, I am a little too. Freshly roasted, French pressed, South American origin, no added sweeteners or flavors… Zoka’s if at all possible.

Whew! It felt like I would never get to the end of this quilt. But I took the last couple of days to finish up the last six rows. And it feels good to have an empty design wall. I’m Free! Free to move on to other projects begging for my attention. Free!

What a gorgeous quilt! Maybe it is baseballs in June? Hubby looks great all wrapped up in it. Have a great weekend. Cheers.
Really gorgeous! I love this design too and the fabric were all a great choise. I love coffee too…
What will you do next: hand or machine quilting?
Beautiful! And now I have to go order some beans…
What a lovely quilt!!! I hope your husband gets lots of use out of it.
This is so stunning! Your work is just delightful!
